I haven't received anything after 8 months I have been working never had any problems with the police just don't understand why my application is taken long time no response .

Be truthful in your application and have patience. In my case, the council invitiation email arrived 3 days earlier to the Atlas email by H.O. (seems to be sent out on Mondays). I did a SAR on 11/07/24, awaiting a response latest by 9th August.

Also completed complaints form online on 17/07/24 because I didn't receive a response from FNE. A/w response from complaints team.

02/02/2024 email from home office application will take more than 6 months
Emailed further nationality enquires on 5 occasions, all the same standard response after a month’s wait each (the approval of a British citizenship application is not an automatic process. We must make a number of enquiries…)

14/05/2024 - Asked local MP to enquire, same response from Home Office to MP after a months wait.

14/05/2024 - Started a complaint with the Home Office, no response, chased up after 7 weeks, they responded saying they can’t process my complaint within their standard 20 working days response time.

27/07/2024 – received email from home office complaints that there is no service standard for nationality application and they will not consider my complaint however they confirmed that my application was approved.

343 days between application and approval (11 months and 8 days) one of the longest here.

ILR application in 2022 took 8 months for approval (applied in Jan 2022 received approval in August 2022).

Next is ceremony and passport application, hopefully quicker than this.

Finally the near end of a 15+ years through the UK immigration system. Good luck everyone!

Updating with the ceremony date. Immediately after receiving confirmation from Atlas, I submitted a form on the council website to register for a public ceremony and they said they'd get back to me once they got my citizenship certificate from Home Office. I got an invitation email from the council 2 days later on 31 July 2024.

Date of ceremony: PENDING My local council says I have to email and wait for their invite as they do it once a month at the end of the month. I therefore emailed them and asked for a private ceremony. Waiting to hear back.

I updated my application. I believe I initially would have been approved on the 7 week mark when lots were approved. But I needed to provide more information on an old CCJ and it took them a further 3 weeks to send the approval email. It took 2 months and 13 days after my biometrics is way quicker than I would have imagined. I realised they approve on Mondays only so been waiting every Monday for an email. Then today when I completely forgot about it I received the email from Atlas at 9:26am.

Lastly I want to thank every admin on this group. After 19 years I can finally relax a little. I know I still need to do the ceremony and my passport but thank you for answering all my many questions over all these years. Good luck to each and everyone still going through it all.
