MN1 where child BRP expired- which option to select for BRP question

Post by Sona1619 » Wed Aug 07, 2024 3:57 pm

hello, i have received my ILR this month. My Child is my dependent and dependent BRP expired 2 days back. I am applying MN1 and wondering which option to select for the question -Are you able to provide a biometric residence permit (BRP) card with this application?
Options are
a.Yes, and it is valid
b.No, my BRP is lost or stolen
c.No, I have already sent my BRP to the Home Office
d.No, I do not have a BRP for my most recent leave> if i select yes, following questions are asked- Do you have a BRP from a previous stay in the UK? Can you provide this with your application?

I am thinking to select option d and give details and say in the covering letter that the dependent VISA expired and we did no apply for a renewal as we are applying for citizenship. Is this ok? Does this situation impact the Child's application in any manner? Many thanks in advance

I think d) is correct.
Was child born in the UK?

Good. Then there’s no impact to child’s entitlement to register.
