Help needed in filling the online application form

Hi, I am new to this site, and I have found it very informative.

I am a British citizen, and I will be applying for my wife in few days. I want to make sure that I have all the documents ready and any question which is not clear to me is cleared before I apply for her.

We will be applying on the basis of adequate maintenance requirement as I am claiming carer’s allowance. As I am not working now, so to fulfil the financial requirement, I will be showing Cash Savings which has been gifted from my father to me. This cash saving has been in my account for more than six months now.

While going through the online application, in the "Finance" section, unlike the minimum income requirements, there isn’t a section where I can tick on "Cash Savings" and then provide the following:
(1). the source of the cash savings
(2). the details of the account in which the cash savings has been kept; and
(3). the following documents:
"1. Personal bank statements showing that at least the level of cash savings relied upon in the application has been held in an account(s) of applicant's spouse throughout the period of 6 months before the application date; and
2. A declaration by the account holder(s) of the source(s) of the cash savings."

In such a situation, I don’t know where to provide the information for the Cash Savings in the online application and then provide the documents required. Can you please help me in this regard.

Because not everyone on this forum has an answer to your query, simple as that.

People here are unpaid volunteers and they do not have any obligatiosn and quotes to filfil. I, for example, am looking into Irish part of this forum, so I do not know an naswer to your question.

Wait until someone more knowledgeable comes across your query.
