Recorded police warning

Post by ifylolly » Sun Aug 11, 2024 4:39 pm

Hello,

I need some advice. Last July I got a recorded police warning in Scotland for a domestic issue at home. I am now in the process of applying for naturalisation and wondering if it needs declaring- and if so under what?, as non of the conviction things fall under that category. I've had 2 enhanced DBS checks since then and they were both clear.

Kindly advice.

You need to disclose it. Add it to a cover letter (there is a question about offences but if you can't identify the correct option I would tick "other" and refer to the cover letter in the text box). A clean enhanced DBS check doesn't mean the warning is irrelevant - your application is likely to be approved if that is your only offence.
