Naturalisation Application 6 months plus

I applied to naturalise on 05 Feb 2024 and did my Biometric in Croydon on thesame day.
I received an email on 30 July 2024 that my application could not be decided within 6 months and they would need more time to decide my application.
I received an automated call from a mobile number saying from immigration that they have been trying to contact me on 19 August 2024 but could not speak with the person on the other end of the call before the call got disconnected.
I tried calling the number back but no luck.
Has anyone received a call from the home office before while waiting for a decision on their naturalisation application? You might also know someone that has received such a call before.

You can quote in the correspondence that you received a phone call from them and could not pick up.
