Apply for British Passport

Post by Yazzy » Tue Aug 27, 2024 5:59 pm

Hi my husband has a private citizenship ceremony scheduled for 4th Sep. i was hoping if someone can clarify when my husband can exactly apply for his British passport after the ceremony? Google is telling me we have to wait 48 hours. Is this correct? Or can we apply straight after the ceremony?
Also how many referees do we need for the passport?

Why do you google this? There’s a load of junk info on the web.

You can apply the minute you have your certificate, if you are well organised.

One referee only, must be professional and British citizen with passport.
