Apply for surender certificate before getting British Passport

Hi,

In order to save time and to be able to apply for OCI as soon as possibile due to an emergency.

- Can I apply for Surender certificate with only my Naturalization vertificate ( I am still waiting for my British Passport) ?

I do not see Foreign Passport number as a mandatory field in the surrender certificate online application form.

Can someone please confirm this

`You would be expected to submit a copy of your british passport, you do have grace period of 3 months to use the indian passport if you are in an emergency

I would not recommend this way. I would suggest you get british passport and apply for e-vise. You can get e-visa easily within 24 hours and travel to India. In meantime you can surrender your passport or you surrender after you return from India
