Postal ILR application - timeframes

Post by surdy77 » Wed Jan 07, 2009 2:19 pm

Hello,
I had posted my ILR app on 10 nov 08 to the home office, rcvd by them on 11 nov. Its been nearly 9 weeks now and i havent heard any news from them. i have been chatting with some people on this forum who have had 14 weeks since posting the app and still no news for them as well.

I would like to know if there is anyone who has recently applied for ILR by post and has successfully got his ILR.

My case is pretty straight fwd, 5 yrs on work permit with the same employer without any big gaps in the whole tenure !!
Please help !!

It is frustrating and very much painful. Hope to get out soon. What will happen , if 14 weeks is over. Would they able to give the proper status.

Its me surdy been talkiing about.... Applied on 1st oct, got letter on 6th october and still waiting.... Called HO today and was told "Application under consideration"......
Anybody else had same experience? How long more will need to wait? I did a google search and one girl got her ILR after 5 months after making a written complaint and some help from her local MP... her case was ILR based on marrige with Uk citizen..... I am regretting why I didn't use premium service.... May be it is HO technique to earn more money....

I m under Tier 1 Genral, So I cannot use sameday service and must send the application by post. I will be sending the application next month as I complete 4yrs 11 months.

I m afraid to send application by post, but no other go. Curious to know, what would be the case after 14 weeks.

Hi

Same situation for me , I made application at PEO croydon for same day service for ILR and they kept all my documents and given letter saying that they need further checks.

My problem is Iam HSMP self-employed and i given all my documents including business accounts to them but accounts due to HMRC on 31/01/09.

If i dont submit my accounts to HMRC i have to face the financial penalty.

I dont understand what to do...

Any advice to get documents quickly
