Hi team,
I recently got my ILR approved and have a query related to the naming convention. My passport doesn't have a surname, that field is blank. My entire name is displayed in given name. Previously in my skilled worker visa, my full name was listed under surname (as I understand that field is mandatory) and first name was left blank. I thought it would be done the same way in ILR. However, in ILR, first name has been put as "-" (hyphen) and my full name is in Surname field.
As per Passport: Given Name: XXX YYY Surname:
As per ILR: First Name: - Surname: XXX YYY
I wanted to check if this is normal or whether this is a matter of concern that I should look at getting corrected. The hyphen doesn't appear in the passport hence a bit worried if that might cause any issue during travel or while applying for citizenship.
Thank you for advice. If anyone has experienced this before, would be great to hear your thoughts.
