Post by ram14esh » Tue Sep 10, 2024 10:24 pm

One of my child will be reaching age 18 in 1 month time and another child is just 12. Can I apply for Naturalization for both children's now to avoid an adult application. I already hold British Passport and my child is holds an ILR. Pls advise ASAP.

You can apply now - for the nearly adult child the application won't be be complete before age 18 is reached so you will get a request to pay the ceremony fee. Even though applied as a child on turning 18 children are required to attend the ceremony.
Both children hold ILR?

Thanks a lot moderator -alterhase58 for your response. I am ok to pay the ceremony fee but at least my nearly adult child can avoid taking the life in the uk test for citizenship? Yes both hold ILR. Can I just apply naturalization for my children's only without including my Wife as my wife has just ILR and only I have British passport. Your inputs will be very helpful pls.

You can apply to register both kids, no tests needed. Suggest you do so as soon as possible for your eldest as fees for naturalisation are higher.
