Hi! I've received the approval email for my 2.5 year settlement renewal on 10 Sept 2024 with a 'valid until 30 March 2024'. Clearly a caseworker error!
I filed an Admin Review, and they emailed saying didn't qualify for Admin review (refund coming for 80 GBP) and they'd be passing to the "BRP Management team". 2 weeks later an email from "BRP Errors" with AdminReview reference no. as the subject saying a caseworker will be assigned to determine if there's an error and would be in contact if necessary.
Today I received email from
atlasnotifications.notmonitored@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk (same Admin review reference number) saying "The application must be about an eligible decision, that is, one specified in the Immigration Rules as eligible for administrative review. The decision that you have applied to have reviewed is for Further Leave to Remain and is not eligible for administrative review. This application is therefore rejected as invalid and will receive no consideration."
I've never disagreed with the decision -- but have a problem with the validity date being in the past!
Do I trust the "BRP Management team" or "BRP Errors" is handling despite the email today? I've emailed
Admin.Review.Enquiries@homeoffice.gov.uk (again) asking for status and now clarity that it's being handled.
Has anyone else faced this and what was your result?
In the meantime, on evisa I show up as having Exceeded my stay since 30March 2024 -- an absolute error. Any advice also for how (once resolved) to make sure this time of reflecting as in violation doesn't impact future renewal (next step is ILR in March 2027).
