Visa curtailment process while my company decided not to keep UK sponsorship license

My employment contract will be terminated today, and I have a Skilled Worker Visa valid for another 3 years. Today, I just learned that my employer has also decided not to keep the UK sponsorship license.

I know that it usually takes quite some time for Home Office to issue curtailment letters. However, given the cancellation of my employer’s sponsorship license, will curtailment process be expedited? Do you have any idea?

I have been applying for jobs since receiving notice of termination, but I haven’t secured an offer yet. I wasn’t too concerned, as I knew the curtailment process could take some time. However, now that the sponsorship license will be revoked, I am worried about how much time I will have to find new employment.

That's not an issue for you now that you left the employer. Whatever happens with your former sponsor and their licence is irrelevant to you.

Thanks for the message @lolo2. I was hoping that it would be irrelevant to me like you said because it's going to be cancelled after I leave the company.

I know the sponsorship cancellation was also filed yesterday (the last day of my employment) by company's lawyers. It's going to take some time for the cancellation to be completed, right? I want to believe that it's not gonna be effective as soon as the lawyers submit it.

For the context: I was worried in the first place because i saw the following post on ukvisa sub-reddit:

As commented, the licence cancellation process might or might not trigger the curtailment process, but nobody here can say what will happen or when UKVI will issue curtailment letters. We've not yet seen anyone posting here with a credible situation of receiving a SWV curtailment letter.

When I was laid off from my first job in the UK, the company closed down - also the licence was cancelled almost immediately - and neither my colleagues nor I ever received a curtailment letter, in my case in more than five months. The case you cited here is something different, as you rightly pointed out. Don't overthink about this, focus on finding a new sponsor before anything else happens.
