Refugee eVisa qualification

Post by glas195 » Sat Oct 12, 2024 6:06 pm

I may be asking the obvious, but just want to double check if someone has been through a similar situation.

Do people with refugee stay/refugee BRP also qualify to register for the new eVisa system?

Thanks

Everyone who holds a BRP (amongsdt other documents) for visas/ILR is required to apply for eVisa.
It's not depending on what type of leave you hold.
Immigration as a whole is going digital!

The only difference here is, holders of non-national and refugee travel documents. If the passenger holds a refugee travel document issued by the UK they do not need a visa.

So E-visa would not necessarily come up at all.
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!

UPDATE: I successfully linked my refugee leave to the new eVisa system.

Tip for others; use your BRP when asked which document you wish to link the eVisa to.
I have seen some people on Facebook groups complaining about delays/being unable to link when using their refugee home office travel document since technically it is not a passport.
