ILR Application for Tier 2 Dependent Visa Applicants with 89 days shortage for 5 years

I wanted to know if the 60 days allowed time duration for booking biometric appointment after paying the ILR visa fee can be used in conjunction with the 60 days allowed time duration for booking biometric appointment after paying the Tier 2 Dependent visa extension, to address for a shortage of 89 days for being eligible for ILR at the time of current visa expiry( 5 years - 28 days).
To add some context: I am a Tier 2 Visa Applicant and will be eligible for ILR Application on 22nd October 2024. My dependent's current Tier 2 dependent visa expires on 10 November 2024 and their visa start date is 6th March 2020, they arrived in UK on 13 March 2020 and their visa issue date is 21 February 2020. So at the time of their visa expiry (10 November 2024) they have a gap of 117 days for 5 year completion, which means 89 days to be eligible for the 28 days buffer of ILR application. I wanted to know if instead of doing the Tier 2 Extension route for next 3 years(or 5 years) and again doing the ILR Application, I can use the 60 days buffer allowed after paying the visa fee and before booking biometric appointment for Tier 2 Extension and ILR Application to help me with the burden of paying the IHS fee for the Tier 2 visa extension. Also they don't have any time outside UK for more than 180 days in the last 5 years.

Yes. You get 45 working days to book your appointment and you can keep accumulating lawful residence if you apply in-time.

Just to be clear the 45 days buffer would need to be applied twice in my case, once for current visa extension and then again for ILR Application (So at the 89th day my dependents would be eligible for ILR and can book the biometric for the same) . So they could submit a Tier 2 Dependent visa extension application on the last date for their Visa and delay booking their biometric to 45th day and on that day instead of paying for the Tier 2 visa extension biometric application, they could make an ILR application and further delay booking their biometric for ILR application and another 44 days later(89th day) when they are eligible for ILR they could book the biometric for ILR?
If this method is possible do we need to go via the immigration lawyers or can we do this ourselves?

BRP issuance is 19/2/20
BRP expiry 27 Dec 24
I am applying ILR via 5 year route this month.
Can she apply ILR on 27 Dec 24 and finger prints on 16 Jan 25 (i.e. 28 days from VISA issuance date) so when application is picked up she would have completed 60 months or she need to expend her visa for 20 days and then apply for ILR.
