Question About Workflow Email for British Citizenship

Post by Ashteel » Thu Oct 24, 2024 2:38 pm

Hi everyone,

I’ve applied for British citizenship and recently received an email from Workflow saying: “We aim to process all applications within 6 months from the date submitted.” I was wondering if, based on your experience, this is generally a good sign that the process is moving smoothly, or if it’s more of a 50-50 situation, where it could go either way—approval or issues with the application.

Can anyone who has gone through this process share their experiences or offer more insight on how to interpret this type of message?

Thanks in advance!

When did you apply?
This sort of email (and variations) has been sent to many applicants over the past few years. Mainly in response when trying to chase status. I would not try and read anything into it - you could get the approval email the following week or in three weeks'/months' time - take your pick.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.
Please do not send me private messages asking for advice.

Applied 5.5 months ago. I didn’t message them at all. Thanks for your answer

If you get to the 6 months mark without a decision you can chase according to instructions in this thread https://www.immigrationboards.com/month ... 43483.html

Sorry if I am asking a lot, is it six month since you submit your application or you attend to biometrics appointment. I am asking because unfortunately there is a difference of 20 days in my case. Thanks in advance.
