Referees Forms

Dear all,

Could someone advise where to find the Referees forms when applying for British Nationality using the online method.
How this works to obtain the Referees details without getting them to fill any hard copy forms and put these details in the online application? Or is there a hard copy ones to download first to get the Referees sign them then to upload them when applying online later? I would appreciate your support

So I just need two different referees to sign one form each? Am I right?
I see from the form attached there is no question in regards to their profession or their British Passport details needed?

There is a section on the online application that requests more details about your referees. Review that and ask your referees the relevant details accordingly. The form I linked, which they have to sign, is the same for both referees, which as you probably know need to respect certain requirements.

Do you know by any chance what details I will be asked to provide for my referees during the online filling in? I just wanted to know in advance to decide which referees could agree to share their personal details with me.

Just go through the form and see the questions for yourself without submitting.

I see from the downloaded forms the referees need to sign with their names and that is all
So still my enquiry is :

Will I also still need each referees to give me their personal details ( British passport number, home address, their date of birth, their profession ) ?
My understanding these details will be needed later to be filled in the online application myself so I need to get these details in prior for each referees as well as getting them to sign on that form

If anyone who has applied for the British nationality application recently, I would appreciate if you could share this process of referees’s details please

Yes they would have to give you the details needed for the form. This is standard procedure even 8 years ago when I applied.
