Evetting deemed ineligible mail incorrectly sent

Post by sv23367 » Fri Nov 29, 2024 3:25 pm

hi all,
my wife had applied for citizenship in June 2024. Her application was picked up for processing 2 weeks back. She got an email asking to submit eVetting application.

After the submission of eVetting application in the INISonline portal, it was in the submitted state for more than a week. yesterday she got an email stating that her eVetting submission is deemed ineligible and she was asked to fill all the questions from 1 to 5.
Her eVetting application in the INISonline portal had gone to completed state.

After reviewing the submitted details, i can understand that as part of the eVetting application , she had submitted her biometric passport and the application number details. She is yet to get the eVetting email from Garda where she will submit all the details of the previous years.

This mail which she got is completely irrelevant as she has not even submitted her eVetting application with Garda.

She had sent a mail to the DOJ with the question . but i am not sure when she will get a response.

Any suggestions on the next steps?

Thanks

What exactly did the email say?
The application will go to completed status regardless of whether the application is successful. The Garda link will always come after the status changes to completed AND after INIS tells you that the application is forwarded to Garda. If they tell you the application is unsuccessful, it still goes to completed and you just have to fill in a new application.

hi there,
Thank you for the reply.
What exactly did the email say?
Pls see the content from the email
Dear XXX.
In relation to your E-Vetting application invitation <Inis application reference number> , please not that upon review your submission has been deemed ineligible.

Upon review your submission was deemed ineligible for the following reason(s):
Dear XXX when completing the vetting process, all areas of the form must be completed in full. please fill your address and county on the address lines in order from 1-5. As a result of gap between the address lines your vetting application has been deemed ineligible. Please revisit the original link issued to you and complete a new vetting application in order to progress to the next stage of processing

My wife didnt get the Garda link. she is yet to submit the details for evetting. Application has gone to completed state in the INIS portal. no error shown there.

Like I mentioned, she just needs to start a new evetting application in the online portal.

Yes, she has done that. Thank you.

there is no reason given why her earlier application was deemed ineligible. thats the issue here

Yes there was. They rejected it because the postal address wasn't formatted in the way they wanted.
please fill your address and county on the address lines in order from 1-5. As a result of gap between the address lines your vetting application has been deemed ineligible.
The way I read this is that you probably filled out address lines 1, 4 and 5 on the original application, for example, but if your address is only 3 lines long they want you to fill it in address lines 1, 2 and 3

Hi,
Process is simple. Once you create eVetting application in INIS portal , it has to go to Completed state. Then you will get a mail from Garda asking to fill all the Address details. My wife is yet to receive the link from Garda to fill the address from 1 to 4. without even filling the address, she got a Evetting deemed ineligible error.

just to conclude on this thread..

My wife had submitted another application in the INIS portal last friday requesting for eVetting to be kick started by Garda. That application has now gone to completed state . She has just received an email stating that Garda will contact her in the coming days with a request for submitting evetting details for proper evetting process.
