Travelling to India on Indian Passport after becoming UK citizen

Hi members,
I acquired my British citizenship towards end of August 2024 but didn't apply for British passport. I still hold my Indian passport which is valid for another 2 years and I need to go to India next week for some urgent family reason. Is it possible to travel on my Indian passport to India and come back as I don't have BRP with me any longer. I read somewhere that there is a penalty of INR 10,000 for using Indian passport after acquiring another citizenship, which am OK to pay, but as I don't have the BRP with me, will there be any issue if I show my naturalization certificate at Indian immigration. Please suggest.

At Indian immigration I'm unsure, but going back to UK will be a problem.

The airlines will most likely not let you onto a flight to UK if you only have a certificate, as they are not treating the certificate as a valid travel document.

You might have to apply for a UK passport from India, that may take a good few months.
