Residency proof and fixed penalty notice

Hi All

I am applying for British citizenship and i will appreciate if someone can guide me in following two matters

- I have completed online form and going to submit it within next couple of days. I have 5 outside trips in last 5 years and have only 2 UK entry stamps on my passport which i think is not enough. I am going to upload employers letters as a proof of residency in UK. One of my employers has ceased trading and I cannot get hold of him to get the letter. I have payslips but they are password protected and are unable to open now. I can get employment history from HMRC and can upload as a proof of residency. Is it acceptable?

-I was given a fixed penalty notice 3 years ago and was paid on time. Should I declare it in the application?

Do you have P60s? If so, upload those. You should be able to take screenshots of your payslips and collate them in a single PDF not password protected.

I would declare the FPN you got 3 years ago under the good character question.

All the payslips, P60 and even p45 is passowrd protected. I forgot the password and are unable to open now. This employment was in 2020.

Can you wait to submit? You would probably be fine just uploading your passport and specifying in a cover letter that some stamps are missing, but you could apply for a SAR and submit that as proof of residence (it takes up to six weeks for UKVI to respond). Or you could just apply with your pssport only, request the SAR, and submit it if you are asked for further evidence down the line.

Well, I have two passports. Should I upload all pages of both passport?

Missing stamps on the passport are not an issue. Scanned pages will work. UKVI know that an applicant can have missing passport stamps.

You manually input all your trips/absences on the application.

Probably you used the same passport(s) for ILR without any issues either. You don't need anything from current or past employers for citizenship as proof of residence/absences.

You can declare it. As it was paid, it will not have any impact on the decision - even if you don't declare it.

One last question: Should I disclose my wife and children's details? They are currently not in UK. They never came to UK. If I mark myself as single in naturalisation application, will this cause any problem in bringing them to UK later on?

There is an explicit question in the application on whether you have any dependants not applying with you. If you say no, you're lying. If you say you're single and in reality you're married then you're lying again.
It's never a good idea to lie on your application and yes, I would imagine it would cause problems further down the line.

You will be asked what your marital status is and details of spouse. You won’t be asked for children’s details. You disclose what you are asked for. There are no issues.

You only need to answer questions about yoursefl in the application. You won't be asked about your family.
