[Indian Passport Renewal] Change in Father's name

Hi

My passport is due to expire July 2025 so I am trying to get it renewed through HCI London. I want to also update my father's name in the new passport since an incorrect name got entered in the old passport (My father's middle name is misspelled). I have tried to look at the resources and guidelines available online to figure out the set of documents needed for this change but I could not find any authoritative source.

I have two questions:
1. What documents will be needed to correct my father's name as part of passport renewal? (Note my PAN card and Indian driver's license already have his correct full name)
2. If changing my father's name is not possible, should I just go ahead with the old name? My concern is that my ID documents (like PAN and Driver's License) have his correct name.

I am really confused so would appreciate any help.
