Reckonable Residence During Automatic Renewal

Hi everyone,

I’d like to ask for your opinions regarding my situation. I was granted a temporary Stamp 4 visa in August 2021, which expired in December 2021. During that time, I applied for a replacement, but since the period fell under automatic renewal, I didn’t receive a new IRP card until May 2022, when I was issued a formal visa.

My question is: does the period covered by the automatic renewal count towards reckonable residence for naturalization purposes?

I understand that I still have some time before I meet the 5-year requirement, but I want to start preparing for this in advance.

I would say it counts, as I applied using this pariod.

but I want to start preparing for this in advance.

It's good to be prepared, but as laws might change, with time, be vary of what's going on.
