eVisa details vanished from UKVI account

Hello everyone,

I am posting this query in very panicked situation. I am on ILR and changed from physical BRP to eVisa on 20th December. Everything went smoothly and next day I received email confirmation and could access my account. I did not receive any instructions to link my passport to the account. Today I thought to check my online account. It says "your account was created without an identity document" and you need to send documents by post. The UKVI has basically taken away all the information showing my valid ILR status.

I called their helpline but they say it is a technical issue. The technical options never reach a human being and directs me to Gov.uk I am going round in circles.

I would sincerely appreciate any assistance in this regards.

These technical issues have been extensively reported here on the forum since this eVisa system was announced. It doesn't affect your current immigration status, no need to panic about. Just report it and wait to be resolved.

If you have a BRP card, you still can use it until March 2025. Check the UKVI guidance in this regard, also you might have received an email informing this.

Thank you very much for your reply. I am relieved to hear that. I appreciate a lot.

Please kindly note that my online account is suggesting printing a form and filling it out and sending it with my passport to a PO box address. Before, there was an option to upload the document online. It was pretty straightforward process to add a document online.

I tried ringing them to report the issue and am currently on hold. I am 158th in line. So, let us see what happens. I am wondering if it is advisable to hold on for a few days to see if they will allow uploading of documents again or should I send my passport via their preferred second class Recorded Delivery to a PO box.

Would you be able to advise on this too?

According to your previous comment, the helpline staff said that this is a technical issue. Wait for the problem to be fixed.

I understand that this is not an ideal situation, but it doesn't affect your immigration status or your right to live and work in the UK. Even if you need to travel internationally, you still can use the BRP card to re-enter the UK at least until March 2025. The guidance was recently modified to address this.

I don't think you need to send any documents to any PO box. Normally one doesn't send any physical documents to UKVI, personally I wouldn't send my passport anywhere (unless I'm applying for a first British passport). All the information linked to the eVisa is provided digitally. That's another indication that this is a technical issue on the online platform that needs to be fixed by UKVI.
