OCI card application: Voter ID and Ration card.

Hi All,

Any experience with using the OCI website? I filled the first page, then did a "Save and Exit", I got a Temporary Id Number. For a while, I tried to complete the application but the after inputting the Temporary Id Number and clicking "Proceed" button, it brings me back to the welcome page [ "I understand" and "Proceed" button page]. I have tried multiple times at good intervals. I'm just not able to get back to my pre-filled application.

Any tips on how to use the website?


Also, for the British passport details section: what is the "Place of issue" ?

Also, confused about the original documents to show at VFS. I'm just applying for myself:-

1) Do I need to upload my Father's passport copy to website and show original at VFS , if I filled the "Indian Root" as "Self" ?

2) Do I need to upload and show marriage certificate if wife is not applying for OCI?

I'm applying for my OCI card. I'm not currently employed. How do I fill the OCI form (online) ? It is asking for employer address and phone number.

Also, how many past payslips should I upload? Do I have to upload offer letters too?
[all the above are digital copies only] If I upload all of the above, do I have to take self-attested printouts of the same to VFS?

Hi All,

For OCI card application, is there a new requirement to surrender Voter ID and ration card?

Just signing the undertaking form is enough or they require any proof like reference number...etc?
