Hi CR001,
Greetings & Happy New Year!
I am new to this forum and urgently require your assistance.
My question/situation is linked to the main topic.
A background of my situation: My wife is the main Skilled worker Tier 2 visa holder and she got ILR status recently in december,2024. I am the dependent spouse, I have PBS dependent visa which is expiring on 2nd Feb, 2025. So, I've applied for my visa extension at the end of December, 2024 through PBS, Start-up, Innovator or Global Talent dependant partner application route.
Situation: In filling up the "PBS, Start-up, Innovator or Global Talent dependant partner" application, I didn't get a question to choose which Visa term my main Visa holder had ("less than 3 years" or "more than 3 years"). And It asked for CoS start date and end date, from this it auto calculated my IHS and Visa fees. But, my wife's CoS actual end date is in March, 2025, therefore, if I enter the actual end date, I get to pay only 6 months IHS and Visa fees. So, after suggestions from previous applicants, I entered a CoS starting date as the date I applied i.e. 27th Dec, 2024 and end date as 26th Dec, 2027, which auto calculated the IHS and Visa fees for 3 years. (Reminder: Main applicant has already got ILR when I applied)
Question1: Original CoS validity was for 5 years (main applicant Visa term was "more than 3 years") ending on March 2025, and it qualifies for "immigration salary list" (she got CoS for Skilled Worker visa before 4 April 2024), so I selected "Yes", but since I entered a dates later then the original CoS dates, I was asked to pay for extra £276 (Totally £827). I think, there's a limitation in the application which doesn't let me enter the visa extension period regardless of the CoS dates, because a new CoS is no longer required since my wife has got ILR. So, am I doing this right filling CoS start end end dates for future 3 years instead of the actual dates as mentioned in the CoS?
Question2: Will there be a problem since I paid only for 3 years Visa and 3 years IHS fees, but the main applicant original visa term was for 5 years (now she has got ILR)?
It seems the application form has changed recently, because persons who applied the same application a few months earlier had options to enter main applicant visa term ( less than 3 years or more than 3 years) and they didn't get questions to enter CoS start date and end dates, also they said they were able to choose their visa extension terms after paying the IHS fees, which I didn't get in my application at all.
I'm just worried about my application and I have plans to travel outside UK by end of January this year.
Please share your thoughts and kindly let me know if you have any confusions/questions on my situation.
Many Thanks,
Leishemba
