what are the negatives when applying for skilled worker visa if on made an application for FLR

Post by jayy123 » Mon Jan 13, 2025 9:13 pm

My current employer is not able to sponsor me at this time and would need more time as exhausted with the limit and my graduate route visa is going to expire soon and been suggested by the solicitor to make an FLR application.
my question is if applying for FLR how would it effect when a company is wanting to sponsor me , would there be a possibility of any rejections based on as applied for FLR and if there would be any future issues while applying for an ILR after 5 continuous years on the tier2/skilled worker visa
Thank you in advance

It does not make any difference to the Sponsor application process. If they get a licence and you are doing a qualifying role at the appropriate salary then they can offer you a COS.

If you applied for FLR before your visa expiry date you can carry on working under the gradate work conditions.

The fact that you are asking if you can still work worries me as that would suggest your employer has not done an ECS check. If that is the case they are already failing to meet the right to work requirements for a sponsor licence.
