Naturalization Process Documentation - specfic to Type B utility bill/Rent Agreement

Post by enigma_raul » Mon Jan 13, 2025 8:16 pm

Hi,

I have a some doubts in my case and need some clarity.
I already qualify the number of days in the country as per my stay
If I apply at the end of this month (e.g., 25th or 31st January), my five-year period would be calculated as follows:

1st Year: 31 Jan 2025 to 31 Jan 2024
2nd Year: 31 Jan 2024 to 31 Jan 2023
3rd Year: 31 Jan 2023 to 31 Jan 2022
4th Year: 31 Jan 2022 to 31 Jan 2021
5th Year: 31 Jan 2021 to 31 Jan 2020
I need clarification specifically on the 5th year and Type B (50-point documents).

I have bank statements, EDS, and other documents, but I don’t have any utility bills or a rent agreement for the period between January 2020 and June 2020. I can provide solid evidence that I was in the country during that time (e.g., bank statements showing transactions, salary payments, and other activities).

From June 2020 onward, I have all the required documents, including utility bills and a rent agreement. However, my previous landlord (prior to June 2020) was very difficult and never provided a rent agreement, which led to me moving out in June 2020.

Would it be acceptable to submit my application now with a cover letter explaining the situation and including my 2020 bank statements as evidence for January to June? Or would you recommend waiting until June, when the issue would no longer be a concern?

OR Cover letter is not even needed.

Also, other than passport colored copy anything else need to be notarized.

Your guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
If you paid your rent via bank account you could demonstrate that you were paying rent and mentioning that address I suppose. If it was cash, your bank withdrawals collaborating with any email/text/whatsapp messages to demonstrate your rental position may help along with a detailed explanation. Also if you had any letters to that address during that period you could use that as evidence of residence proof. Housing ad, your reply, correspondences etc may support too.

@emi24 thanks
I was paying rent from my account and I also have a reference letter when leaving the accommodation from the landlord stating that my accounts are paid and I stayed their from 2019 Sept to June 2020.

He wrote that letter on a plain white paper and signed and send me png file which I still have it handy. Do you think that will work as a proof or residence.

MY Bank statements are indeed showing that I have been paying rent as there are records with the name RENT and the amount reflects consistent sometime a little up as we had electricity bills as well.
