eVisa Status showing as Dependent

Post by rafi_aamiri78692 » Tue Jan 14, 2025 4:54 pm

Hi,

My spouse and my son who are my dependents got ILR in December 2024 and eVisa is setup successfully.

For my spouse the status is showing as Settled but for my son it is showing as Dependent who is aged 18.8 years old.

Kindly advise.

Thanks,

This seems to be due to errors in the eVisa system.

Thanks Zimba.

Reason for raising this as concern is for my son the University is considering him as international student not as home student which has impact in the fees

Has he already started his course?

Keep in mind that to qualify as a Home Student, your son needs to meet specific requirements before the first day of the first year of the course. And once the course has started, his status does not change due to his being granted ILR status.

UKCISA has more information on Home Student status in England.
