Tier 1 Entr 200k Route to ILR

Post by ow33 » Thu Jan 23, 2025 9:24 pm

Applied for ILR Route: SET(O) T1 Entrepreneur ILR (200k Route)
Application Type: Standard
Application submitted online: 26 Sep 2024
Biometrics appointment: 02 Oct 2024
Acknowledgement email: 14 Oct 2024 (TLS UKVCAS Biometric confirmation)
Additional Documents email: 23 Oct 2024
Additional Document submitted: 30 Oct 2024

This is the current situation.. nothing received after this.
I also had a partner in my T1 visa application when i first came to uk, we both applied for extension together previously as well. He also applied for his ILR in November and received additional document required email 2 times so far. Is it possible they are asking questions regarding the business to one director of the company but might be considering both our applications as joined? as we both have same business and evidence documents?

Also, my i have not applied for evisa yet. Could that be a reason for a delay as well? should i apply for evisa while the ILR application is pending?
Is there any way to get in touch with homeoffice to know the status of the application as for me i have not received any new email from them since Oct 2024 (usually they do reply after 2 weeks to say they are still working on the application).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

There is no such thing as a joint application at all. You and your partner just can share certain documentary evidence. Your applications are two separate applications and decided in their own right. However, if there is some evidence that UKVI needs more clarification on, then they can question any of you.

Also, eVisa has nothing to do with ILR. Tier 1E route is a complex route and has a genuine entrepreneur test that all applicants must satisfy before ILR

HI Zimba,
I had the same understanding as well.. But i asked because since my last communication in Oct 2024, i have not heard back from them but my partner have received additional document required email twice.. and they asked the questions regarding business itself..

So they dont have such questions on my application? but on his they do? so i assumed they are enquiring from one on behalf of both our applications.

other question is if it is wise to register to evisa at this stage as my application is still with them?

also, is there a way to contact them and ask them about the progress?
Thank you.

ILR has a standard timeframe of 6 months. I do not know why they have not asked you business-related questions. They might be questioning the role or activities of your partner. Again, as I explained your application is a separate one. UKVI will not provide progress updates, so you will only get a generic response if you contact them

eVisa has NOTHING to do with this, I am not sure why you are worried about this. eVisa is just a replacement for old BRPs as digital proof of visa in the UK to be used when travelling, renting, etc. UKVI knows your immigration status so you do NOT need to tell about it on a visa application as they have all that on your file

Quick update on this.. both of us directors received application successful email today at the same time.. so im guessing while they were questioning and asking for additional documents for business, they had my application on hold as well. Maybe thats just a coincidence but looks like they checked the merit from one partner but applied the same for both of us.
