It might be due to a fee waiver, or perhaps for another reason. It's possible you have some surplus funds or savings earmarked for this application, or perhaps you are financially well-off enough to cover it comfortably

First confirm with him whether he has been granted fee waivers within a month. It's important to ensure that these waivers were not related to FLR FP or that he hasn't paid the fee for the application. Or he paid for the application to receive in one month

You need to go to the journal and record the date of your visa extension and the application number. The rest will be taken care of, so there’s no need to worry. If you applied in November, you will likely receive the decision by August 2025

If you are an overstayer, it is strongly advised not to submit the application on your own. Please consult a solicitor for proper guidance.

Key documents typically required include:

Marriage certificate
Proof of living together for at least 2 years
Birth certificates of children (if applicable)
British passport of any family member who is a British citizen
Bank statements to demonstrate that the income threshold is met (if applicable)
For further clarification and assistance, it is best to seek guidance from a qualified solicitor.

This is absolutely correct advice. to add to that , in your case a cover letter from solicitor detailing humanitarian grounds and quoting the relevant laws would help immensely(speaking from personal experience). even if the English language and financial is not met, the application will still be considered and you would be put on a 10 year route which is better than nothing.

we tend to overshare irrelevant information when filling out forms ourselves but solicitors have a way of saying the minimum but relevant so your application stays to the point.

Can anyone please advise where I would be allowed to post a question about FLR(FP) extension? Don't want to post in the wrong topic.

Thanks and apologies for posting this question here.

Hi please I need advice . We were granted 2.6 yrs ago through our UK born child. After about a Yr on the visa we apply for our older child to join us using form flr fp from outside the UK and he was granted and stated in the letter that he was on 5yrs to apply for indefinite when he get to uk. We recently did our extention using form flrfp with the child and he was now placed on 10yrs with parents instead of initial 5yrs to indefinite.is there change in law for children who entered legally to be on 10yrs route?

I will be interested to know too as I recently extended mine and I was on 32k a year and submitted my UK M.sc degree after filling FLRFP application and submitted everything, they still place me on the same 10yrs route as they stated my partner is not a British and other stuff. I think some are lucky to get it why others are not or in the discretion of the case worker as mine was decided in May last yr without 5yrs route

You are supposed to write a letter as part of your application stating you would like to switch

Hi I would like to find out if anyone has been waiting over 12 months for extension flrp. Submitted my application in dec 2023. No fee waiver have written to Mp and always same reply. The HO can really frustrate individuals.
