visitor visa (co-sponsor)

Post by Tiddy1975 » Sun Jan 26, 2025 11:54 pm

Hi all, I have enquiry regarding visit visa information for my mother(retired ,75 years old )from Thailand , because my husband and I have been on benefits, so my mother in law will be a sponsor for financial support ( she is in receipt of 2 private pensions and enough savings) , in terms of the accommodation, would my mother be allowed to stay with us ? as I live in the 2 bedrooms council house. ( I have also received housing benefit).
If my circumstances is possible to apply visit visa for my mother, are there any specific documents I have to provide when I submit the application. Thank you.

I don't see why not. She's coming to visit not to move in. Your sleeping arrangements doesn't concern the HO. as I live in the 2 bedrooms council house. ( I have also received housing benefit).

Thank you.
Add all documents that you think would help. There's really no one size fits all.

You don't need that. Same way you don't need a letter from your landlord when your friends come to visit you and if possibly spend the night.

She's visiting, not moving in!
