Afghanistan Citizens Resettlement Scheme (ACRS)

Post by lfc123 » Mon Feb 17, 2025 11:26 pm

Hi All,

I am looking for a bit of advice. I have recently submitted a referral for resettlement on behalf of my parents and sister under Pathway 1 Stage 2 of the Afghanistan Citizens Resettlement Scheme (ACRS).

My referral for my parents have been accepted but my sister who is above 18 is not accepted due not meeting the eligibility criteria under " exceptional circumstances".

On decision letter, it says " I have considered whether the particular circumstance set out in your referral constitute exceptional circumstances. I have not considered any issues raised in relation to human rights or protection.

"I have carefully considered all the evidence which you have provided and I am not satisfied that your additional family member is exceptionally dependent on you such that they cannot continue to obtain the required level of care in their current location. I have therefore determined that they are not eligible for relocation to the UK under the ACRS."

We have provided all the supporting document to show that she is dependent on my family here in the UK financially and emotionally. She has no mean of other support in Afghanistan.

I appreciate if someone had similar experience / or guide me on how to appeal for my referral to be reviewed again.

Much appreciated.
