Hi,
I have lived in the UK for over 10 years, with a Tier 4 Student visa until Sept/2019 then work permits since this date. I could have applied through the 10 years route, but I found it easier to make my application using the 5-years route based on my employment history since 2019.
Here is my visa history since then:
- Tier 2 (General) - September/2019 until December/2021 (Employer 1)
- Skilled Worker - January/2022 until January/2026 (Employer 2)
In September 2024, I qualified to request ILR because I had completed five years under a Tier 2 and Skilled Worker Visa.
My queries:
- The date of entry in the UK was requested during the application. Since I was already living in the UK, I have put the issue date of my Tier 2 (General). Would that be correct to assume? They mention that this date should be the date of entry on which my application is based.
The application requested information about my current employer, including sponsorship details. However, I could not find a place to add information about my previous employment period (ref. Employer 1). I have letters from HR from both employers detailing all required information (leaves, salary, etc.). Do you know which section of the application I should add information sent by my previous employer?
Thanks for any help!
