Dependants not applying with you at this time?

Post by anub2016 » Sun Feb 23, 2025 12:39 am

Hi,

My wife is applying for Naturalisation based on her ILR that was granted on the basis of her own T2 General visa.

I am already a naturalised British citizen which was granted on the basis of my ILR / T2 General visa.

We have a kid who was born after I was granted ILR and as such, is a British Citizen.

So, for the question 'Do you have any dependants not applying with you at this time?', what should my wife answer on her form given that our kid and I are both British citizens and would not need to apply to UKVI now or in the future?

Please could I request the moderators / experts to advise.

Many Thanks

Answer No as child is already British.

NARIC Certificates and English Language Requirement

Post by anub2016 » Fri Feb 28, 2025 8:17 pm

Hi,

Could the Moderators / Experts please advise if the NARIC Certificates requested at the time of T2 (General) visa in 2018 be reused for the Naturalisation application?

My wife did not have to submit NARIC Certificates at the time of her ILR application in 2023 and so new NARIC Certificates were not requested at the time.

Also, for the question 'Did you meet the knowledge of English requirement as part of an indefinite leave application made on or after 28 October 2013?', we have answered YES. Is that okay?

Many Thanks
