Application and In country stay

Post by Michael8 » Thu Jan 16, 2025 9:35 pm

Hi there

To apply to UK citizenship, one of the requirement is number of days out of country.
I would presume they are calculated from day of application and 5 years backwards.

But I am not sure.
I would like to know if I can apply and then say go on holidays out of country. Or these days would count towards the absence days?

And we should wait the reply prior to making qny holidays plan.

Thanks in advance for helping out.

You are free to travel after date of application. Absences post-application are not relevant.
Best to book your biometrics before you go away.
Note standard processing time is 6 months but often shorter sometimes longer. Then wait time for ceremony.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

Hi,

I have EECTIS letter confirming my diploma equivalence to a BA level.
University can provide a Medium of instruction letter for course having been taught in English.

Question is do I still need to get an ELTS from ECCTIS please?

Thanks for helping out!
M.
