FLR FP (Parent route) renewal question.

Post by Abi5050 » Thu Mar 13, 2025 9:18 pm

Dear Immigration Boards Members,

Application for my mother under FLR (FP) was successful 2.5years back. Now, it is time for extension. Can I please ask you two questions:

(1) My mother granted FLR FP, the leave lasts for 2.5 year and it is usually under the "10 year route". Can she switch to the 5 year route and apply for FLR (M)?
(2) Will I be able to extend FLR (FP) application by my self?

Looking forward to you reply.

Many Thanks,
Abi.

This form is to extend stay in the UK as the partner or dependent child of someone who is settled here or who is a refugee or under humanitarian protection.
(2) Will I be able to extend FLR (FP) application by my self? Oh yes you can. The form would lead you.

Looking forward to you reply.

Many Thanks,
Abi.
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!

Good morning,

Thank you for your valuable time.

One more question please:

Do I have to present similar documents to the one the solicitor submitted at the time of first application?

Many Thanks,
Abi

I'm sure it would be close. The first visa is always the hardest one, it gets easier.

The form would tell you what is needed. You can do a dummy form and see where it leads.

Dear TickTack,

Thanks for your response earlier.
Please help me on one more question.
I need assistance in choosing the right application for the extension.
Will it be FLR (HRO) or Application to remain in the UK on the basis of family life or private life?

Looking forward to you reply.

Many Thanks,
Abi
