Apply for Naturalisation

Post by sam550 » Mon Dec 30, 2024 11:54 am

Hi everyone,
I need some advice. ILR was approved under Set LR today, and need to apply for naturalisation as married to a British spouse. Can I apply immediately, and which forms should I fill out?

Hi, I just wanted to confirm if it’s okay to use these referees, both of whom are British passport holders:
1. A doctor who is a friend
2. A product manager at the stock exchange

Thanks

The product manager may not be eligible unless they belong to a chartered body. Is the doctor British and over 25?

No. You need another profession, doctors are not on the professional list from UKVI.

Hello,

I hope someone can assist me. I’ve just realised that I forgot to declare a settled default of £8,000 on my British naturalisation application, including in my cover letter. This was an honest mistake on my part. The default did not result in a CCJ and has been fully resolved. I am financially stable, earning £105,000 per annum, and I included my payslips as part of the application.

Would this omission go against me, and is there a way to use my UKVI reference to send a new cover letter to explain the situation and provide the necessary details?

Thank you in advance for your guidance.

It’s been a long 10 years—plus those extra four years of overstaying and the time on a student visa before that—but at last, I can finally call it home!

Thank you so much! I managed to obtain my citizenship certificate by visiting the register office at my local council, and it took less than 10 minutes. :) with a cost of £90 - Now, I’m applying for my passport—can I just submit my citizenship certificate and my current passport? The original passport I used to enter the UK was lost in 2007, and my most recent passport was issued in 2015. Would it be okay to send just that along with the certificate?

Regards
