SWV change in employer - question on break between jobs - advice needed

Currently on SWV and was offered a new sponsored role. I have gone through the skilled worker visa process for my new employer and it has been granted on 13th March 2025. I am now working the notice period for my current employer, which I already know is allowed and a sponsor note has been added to the system which says I will start work on 12 May 2025 due to serving out contractual notice period (original CoS Start date was 10th April 2025).

My question: i have a chance to now shorten my notice period by 2 weeks. Can I take a break of two weeks during which I serve my last day at old company on 25 April 2025 and then start at new company on 12 May 2025?

Not going to be an issue. Technically the new employer should inform UKVI that your start date has changed, what UKVI don't know is not going to impact them.
