88K Saving Route - Financial requirements

Post by falconx77 » Tue Feb 25, 2025 7:14 pm

Hello

Need some guidance on the saving route. I'm currently living in Pakistan and planning on moving back to UK (i am dual national) and will be applying for my wife and son to move with me. I have a home in the UK but i do not currently have a job. I do have more than 88k in savings in UK bank account and it will complete the 6 months requirement in few weeks. I wanted to ask if anyone has used this route before and what has been their experience. My main aim is to take along my wife and son and not leave them here for few months. I am also planning on paying for the fast track process. Can anyone share their experience and guide me if there are any hidden issues which are not widely known or if its a straight forward process?
Thank You

Bumping this because I would also love to see an active thread in general about folks who are applying for/have gone through the process relying on the cash savings route. We are in the US, and are a few months away from applying for my husband's spousal visa which will be cash-savings-based rather than employment based. We also plan to fast-track/expedite the visa application also.

Does anyone think the MIR will get another hike? What is the current thinking on this?
