notice of intended prosecution and naturalisation application

Post by rajcp1 » Fri Apr 18, 2025 12:44 pm

3 years back I received a "notice of intended prosecution" for offence of speeding - exceed 30 miles per hour. I was driving at 34 mph and I was offered an option of Driver Awareness Training which I accepted and completed. I wasnt fined on that.
Do I need to declare this in the application and say "YES" to the relevant question about traffic violations in the online application form?

PS: I didnt declare this in my ILR application based on the research I did but when looking through the web its confusing whether or not I should declare it in the naturalisation application.

thanks for the reply.

You don't have to declare "Driver Awareness" course - it's not a prosecution or fine and is not recorded as such. It doesn't have to be declared for motor insurance either. You were lucky that time, next time it will be a fine/points, I know ....
