Spouse visa extension

Post by shohjura » Mon Apr 21, 2025 2:12 pm

hi guys,
my wife is around 6 months away from extending her spouse visa, I started looking into what is needed to make an extension application and here is what I am preparing for the application, please point out if I am missing anything:

-my British certificate of naturalisation
-my British passport
-our son's (born last summer in UK) birth certificate
-our son's British passport
-IELTS Life Skills B1 (which can be reused for ILR application, right?)
-my wife's passport
-my wife's travel document
-my contract of employment
-letter from my workplace confirming employment
-6 months payslips prior to application date (salary above £60k)
-corresponding 6 months bank statements
-marriage certificate with a certified translation (used in previous application)
-tenancy agreement in both of our names
-6-8 joint items for 2 years prior to application date from 2 electricity suppliers from 2 different homes, council tax bills, water bills, broadband bills.

-can I just please double check evidence of relationship-photos, messages etc like in initial application are not required?

Many thanks for your valuable advice and guidance as always

-IELTS Life Skills B1 (which can be reused for ILR application, right? correct)
-my wife's passport yes
-my wife's travel document is this different from above?
-my contract of employment yes
-letter from my workplace confirming employment OK
-6 months payslips prior to application date (salary above £60k) Yes
-corresponding 6 months bank statements Yes
-marriage certificate with a certified translation (used in previous application) Yep
-tenancy agreement in both of our names Yep
-6-8 joint items for 2 years prior to application date from 2 electricity suppliers from 2 different homes, council tax bills, water bills, broadband bills. Yep

-can I just please double check evidence of relationship-photos, messages etc like in initial application are not required? Not required.

Many thanks for your valuable advice and guidance as always

thanks for the above
these are the list of docs I could find for cohabitation, as I don't seem to have docs at consistent intervals nor have joint account doc for all of the dates, please point out if these would be ok (her visa expires 18 Nov 25, we are aiming to make application first week of Nov 25)

13/10/23-Eon electricity bill-joint account
2/2/24-Severn Trent water bill-joint account
24/5/24-Barclays-individual account (her bill on 24/5, mine on 23/5)
26/9/24-Barclays-individual account (her bill on 26/9, mine on 23/9, please note this doc would be at 2 days over 4 months interval-is this ok?)
14/1/25-Severn Trent-joint account
8/4/25-TalkTalk wifi bill-individual, 16/4/25-NHS appointment letter-individual
Ovo electricity bill-25/7/25-joint
Ovo electricity bill-27/10/25-joint

thank you
