When is the earliest date I can apy for ILR?

Post by Mazimbamutu » Fri May 23, 2025 4:30 am

Hi Zimba and other MODs,

I was hoping you could help answer my question.

I moved from a tier 4 visa to a Skilled Worker visa in 2022. I received the Home Office email notifying me of a decision on 16 September 2022. Because I applied through the UKVI app, when I checked my evisa, I saw that my Skilled Worker visa had a start date of 15 September 2022. However, my BRP issue date was 05 October 2022. I have since transitioned to a Global Talent visa and looking to apply for ILR this year.

Am I correct to say that my qualifying period starts from 15 September 2022?

Thank you.
