Applying for Evisa without surrendering Indian passport

Post by 0M0M » Sun Jun 15, 2025 5:24 am

Dear all,
I hope you can help me with this current situation. I am a British citizen on a dependent visa in Malaysia. I acquired British citizenship about 9 months ago but didn’t surrender my Indian passport in the UK or in Malaysia.
Now we’re travelling to India in a few weeks and I am planning to apply for an e-visa and travel to and from India on the British passport and visa. Is this possible? Are there any issues with this? Do I need to mention anything in my e-visa application? Will I be asked anything in India?
Appreciate your help and knowledge with this. Thanks
