Dear all
Please read carefully my post and answer Please if anyone had same situation and they sorted. I will ne so thankful for you.
Its about my daughter’s eligibility to remain as my dependant under the Skilled Worker (Care Worker) visa route, and her ability to work full-time or undertake a paid apprenticeship while holding that visa.
I am in uk since march 2020 with my daughter.
I switched to a Skilled Worker visa under the Care Worker route in February 2024, and my daughter switched to a Skilled Worker dependent visa in March 2024.
She has been living in the UK with me since 2020 and is currently in full-time education and she has finished her A level final year in this june 2025 She plans to begin an apprenticeship or full-time job.
She is going to be 18 year old on 2nd August 2025
She will continue to live with me, and I will be solely responsible for our rent, food, groceries, and other living expenses throughout her time as my dependant.
In preparation for her dependent visa extension in 4 March 2027, I would like to know that
1. Is there any minimum income or financial requirement for her to remain eligible as my dependant at the time of visa extension on 4th March 2027 ?
our current visa will be expired on 4th march 2027.
2. after getting her extension in march 2027 she continues as a Skilled Worker dependant: – Will she be allowed to work full-time or apprenticeship?
– Can she undertake a paid apprenticeship with earnings above a certain amount?
– Are there any restrictions on the type or salary of work she can do?
and after completing 5 years total ,she will eligible for ILR ?
3. If she gets salary, so she can help me little in bills or I have to pay all ,if not then what she can use of her salary?
