Home Office Atlas - Biometric Notification for Cancelled Application

Post by Silverfirn » Sun Sep 07, 2025 3:55 pm

Hello,
I recently cancelled my first British naturalization application and received confirmation of its cancellation, including the ROD number and also cancelled the biometrics. The day after receiving the cancellation number, I submitted a second application and have already completed biometrics for this new second application.
Today, however, I received an email stating that I have 45 days left to complete biometrics for my initial (now cancelled) application, or else it will be marked invalid. I am concerned that if the cancelled application is marked invalid, it may affect my eligibility for a refund.
Could you please advise me on the following:
• Will the marking of my cancelled application as invalid prevent me from receiving a refund?
• Is there an email address or contact person to whom I can forward the Home Office's biometric notification to clarify my situation?
• Should I take any further steps regarding the biometric request for the cancelled application, given that my second application and biometrics have already been completed?

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Could you please advise me on the following:
• Will the marking of my cancelled application as invalid prevent me from receiving a refund? no
• Is there an email address or contact person to whom I can forward the Home Office's biometric notification to clarify my situation? Not particularly useful, it's an automated email, they probably haven't marked the original application as cancelled in their system.
• Should I take any further steps regarding the biometric request for the cancelled application, given that my second application and biometrics have already been completed? No.

Thank you very much for your assistance.
