ILR Salary Threshold

Post by pravyna » Wed Sep 10, 2025 1:01 pm

Hi,

I’m planning to apply for ILR under the Skilled Worker route and wanted clarification regarding the salary requirement. Here are my details:

I have been continuously employed by the same employer since April 2021.

Initially sponsored as Embedded Applications Engineer, SOC code 2136 – Programmers and software development professionals (April 2021 – June 2026).

My role has now changed to Full Stack Engineer, and I was granted a new Certificate of Sponsorship to update my visa.

I have been granted permission to stay in the UK as a Skilled Worker until 2 July 2026, SOC code 2134 – Programmers and software development professionals.

My questions:

What is the current salary threshold required for ILR under the Skilled Worker route?

Where can I officially check or verify the correct salary requirement for ILR?

Thanks in advance for any guidance!

Thank you so much for you reply. My salary is not higher than the going rate – just matching the threshold, is that sufficient?

I checked the link. My salary is higher than general threshold - £31,300. But When comparing with lower going rate ( as i got my certificate of sponsorship for my first Skilled Worker visa before 4 April 2024 and have continually held Skilled Worker visa since then), my salary exactly matches the lower going rate, not higher. Is that fine??

I thought you only matched the general threshold, not the going rate. Note that the threshold is the minimum you need to get paid, so it is the min or higher
