Registering child as British Citizen (MN1)

Post by hasdrubal90 » Tue Sep 16, 2025 12:53 pm

Hi everyone, I’m helping my child apply for UK nationality and got stuck on a question in the form:

"Are you relying on your parent's permanent residence (either as an EEA National or the family member of an EEA National) as evidence of their settled status in the UK?"

I have Settled Status under the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS). Should I answer Yes or No?

Thanks

Answer No. Permanent residence was the scheme that applied before the UK left the EU. your child relies on your settled status acquired under EUSS, not under permanent residence.
