Clarification on Application Answers and Supporting Documents

Post by crucifiks » Mon Nov 03, 2025 10:44 pm

Good evening,

I recently submitted my application and have already booked an appointment for mid-November.

However, after reading some articles, I realised I may have made a mistake on one of my answers (I misunderstood the question):

Do you have any dependants not applying with you at this time?
I answered Yes, thinking of my child, but I now realise that since he is British (born in the UK and holds a British passport), the correct answer should have been No.

Will this cause any issue with my application?

Regarding the evidence I need to upload before my appointment, I currently have the following:
1. Copy of all passport pages
2. Degree certificate
3. Proof of residency (as a Non-EEA national — passport stamps to show residence over the relevant 3- or 5-year period)
4. Referees

My question is about the proof of residency. I have passport stamps from trips abroad, but most are from the arrival countries. I only have three UK entry stamps from Heathrow (in 2020, 2022, and 2023). Would these be sufficient to prove my residency in the UK?

If so, should I simply upload one full scan of my passport (to cover both 1 & 3)? Also, under which category should I upload it on the TLS website (e.g., Proof of application, Evidence of residency, Other, etc.)?

Thank you very much for your time and help.

Background: Settled Status granted in April 2019.

No, that shouldn't be an issue.

Yes, copy of passport pages covering the qualifying period is sufficient.

You can upload the documents on any category, that wouldn't affect the outcome.

Your incorrect answer doesn't affect your statutory requirements. You can explain in a cover letter if you wish but it won't be an issue.
