Proof of continuous living - official list of accepted documents

Post by manymore » Sun Nov 09, 2025 12:49 am

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know where I can find an official list of accepted documents for proving continuous residence for the citizenship application? Suprisingly couldn't find it while usually HO has guidance for everything.

My wife is prepping her application - and she's been a stay-at-home mom (not HRMC or DWP record in the last 5 years), and her passport stamps don't cover the entire 5-year period. She has a settled status as the spouse of an EU national. So we are trying to figure out what other alternative ways to prove it? Her SAR info shows almost all entries/exits, though, but I don't think that attaching that is a good idea?

Thank you!

Attaching the SAR should be enough in her case.

Thank you! But is there a list I can refer to? The SAR also has a few trips/data points missing.

E.g., would council bills work? Theoretically, they are "letters from a governmental department" as they ask

the SAR is enough. Just explain there are some trips missing. You don't need other letters.
