Hi everyone

My husband is non eu with pre settled status and has recently received an auto extension for 5 years. I have read that people are getting emails from home office that their status will be switched from pre settled to settled status without the need to apply . What is the ruling on this please ?

There's no ruling on what to do.
You can just stay on pre-settled for another five years if you wish, or just apply for full settled status (same as ILR) when person qualifies, which in my view would be preferable.
