ILR Application Date Question

I wanted to get your opinion regarding my ILR application.

I was was granted leave as a Skilled Worker Dependant in March 2018. In November 2019, I went to my home country; however, due to Covid-related flight restrictions and health risks, I was unable to return and eventually re-entered the UK in May 2021. Since then, I have been living in the UK continuously, apart from short holidays. My residence permit has been extended continuously so there is no break.

In relation to the ILR rule allowing a maximum of 180 days outside the UK in any 365-day period, could you advise whether I should wait to apply in May 2026 (this might be late due to potential change in ILR), or whether an application now would be possible by counting back 180 days from May 2021?

Thank you for your response but I couldn't find answer to my situation in this link. I'm sorry if I miss something.

In summary, I was not in the UK from November 2019 to May 2021 while I have valid BRP during that period. Should I consider May 2021 as my ILR period start date or can I consider November 2020 (180 days before return date) as I don't have any other absence?
